Introduction

Blog History:
In Perfect Form was inspired when I started my fitness journey in Oct 2008. I was underweight at 36kg, 10% body fat. I had no idea how to eat well and exercise properly. Then I read up on health and diet. I also got myself a personal trainer to help me gain weight! I also tried high intensity body weight workouts and do they help me shed fat and help me maintain my gains without any equipment. Soon enough, I was addicted to fitness. I am now at a healthy 43kg and guess what! Even though I gained 7kg since then, I have NOT gone up a size from my clothes. Instead, I fill them out nicely and my posture, skin, and mood have never been better!
Then I thought to myself, "Hey! You helped yourself achieve fitness goals all by yourself. Why not share it with other women?" Thus, my blog was born.

Fact or Fad? " Less sugar please"

Source:http://evolutionvtg.blogspot.sg

Most people often chide their friends when they ask for a low-sugar or sugar-free drink. Often, their joke is that you are vain and are conscious of your weight.

Sure, sugar causes weight gain as it is a simple carbohydrate that gets stored easily if not utilized.

But what is the truth behind Sugar? More specifically, glucose.

Glucose is made of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. It gets stored as a less soluble version in our bodies as glycogen and then.In plants, it is stored as starch.

Glucose is the basic unit of all sugars and from glucose, you get to build up different sugars such as maltose, fructose etc.

Glucose is not bad.It serves a purpose in our bodies.

But what makes Sugar so taboo in so many areas of health? Besides the obvious that it is stored as fat, it is also a robber.

In order to metabolize, one must use up various vitamins and minerals in order to process the sugar we consume into glucose. We consume sugar in many forms, thus, they require breaking down.
Source: wikipedia (Sorry guys but this is the least boring one)

Sugar taken in excess will lead to a huge robbery of vitamins and minerals! You have officially used up your vitamins to process Sugar. I'm pretty sure if you have a high Sugar intake, you cannot possibly be consuming enough vitamins through proper food to be able to make up for that deficit.

Too bad our bodies don't have credit cards huh?
