Motivation and misc.

I'm the kind of girl who enjoys reading articles that aren't "nice" to readers. To give you an example of a NICE article, read this.

An example of a not so nice article, is this.

The second article isn't the most brutal article I have come across, but still, first timers who are so damn addicted to SHAPE magazines- it is brutal.

Why?

- It tells you the COLD HARD TRUTH
- It makes women who just do random yoga poses and 15 reps of everything without extra resistance feel like they are back at square one.
- Hey! It even makes women who trained with weights feel like they are back at square one.
- There's more truth packed in without all the fluff and stuff. I hate fluff and niceties in an article that is supposed to be motivating. Motivation burns like fire, it does not float around like bubbles.

Dear faithful SHAPE reading females, try a one-legged deadlift. Heck, try doing deadlifts with moderate weights. Then tell me how do you FEEL in the morning. I love that soreness. I smile when I stumble off my bed and crawl to my bathroom when I get up.

In other updates on life:
-Body fat is definately down.
- Muscle mass increasing (rather drastically the past few months)...I hope to gain another 1 to 2 kg in March.
- Operation in April to be scheduled. Bye bye muscle gain. =( I hope not too much loss during recup.

Hurts, doesn't it?

There are days, where I go:
- Ugh....I don't wanna exercise
- Ugh..why the hell do I care about eating proper?
- Why...do I work so hard at exercising? I'm fit enough...

Then.

I log on to the internet or I merely have to look at my wallpaper.
Then I'll go:
-I'm not at my 100% yet
- I'm not even competition ready!
- Do you really wanna go back and look so dead and inactive and depressed as before?

What motivates me to exercise and eat well?
- Vanity (Please don't deny it.- Better hair, nails, skin etc.)
- Health concerns (I'm quite a sickly human)
- Happiness (endorphines ftw)
- Perks (Hey, people see you in a better light when you look fit and happy and healthy)

Time crunch.

As I inch my way towards graduation, I start to push myself to know the outside world encirling the safe walls of my school.

So I attend Toastmasters meetings, go for job fairs etc.

So, how do I squeeze in workouts?

Well, my plan looks like this:

Mon: gym (workout 1)
Tues: Stretching + 5 mins HIIT
Wed: Workout 2
Thurs: Stretching + 5 mins HIIT
Fri: Workout 3
Sat: Stretching + 5 min HIIT
Sun: REST!

If I really cannot cannot make it to exercise next time when I become a working girl, I plan to do this: Exercise 15 mins a day.
One body part a day. Except abs. Why?
- Abs will always be on my alt day workouts
- Vacuums is an amazing ab exercise to do ANYWHERE.

There is no reason not to live healthily. No more excuses people. 15 mins out of 24 hours. Very possible if you put your heart and soul in it.

Always activate your fast twitch muscles. It slows down the aging process.
