My take on shoes that promise a workout.

The back of your legs are called Hamstrings, not Thighs.

First of all, ARE YOU SERIOUS?? You're only working your legs, so swinging your arms don't count as "toning". And no, they won't give you a perky ass. Dead lifts, squats and lunges give you a perky ass.

My mom owns a pair of skylar flats (okay, 2 pairs in 2 colours since she couldn't make up her mind). I have tried them. I'm going to say...

1. They are comfy.
2. It does improve posture only if your posture is shit 'cause you have to maintain your balance on the convex like sole.
3. It works if your leg muscles haven't been used efficiently. However, not much "toning" is done.
4. Walking is cardio in itself. These shoes provide a greater challenge as it puts you off your center of gravity. However, changes and differences are very slight UNLESS you purposely walk more with these shoes.

For fans and non-fans alike, if you enjoy walking as a cardio activity and are looking to shed some kilos, walking 20 minutes a day will make a difference for beginners at exercise.

Of course, eat well and healthily after walking and not load up on whatever junk food you want if you want to see results and not see your hard work go down the drain.
